Chris Lofing Co-Founder, Writer | Director | Producer

Born and raised in Beatrice, Nebraska, Chris Lofing’s filmmaking aspirations began when he was 13. Immediately after graduating high school, Chris moved to Los Angeles to attend The New York Film Academy. In film school Chris wrote and directed a short film titled CROSS, which received critical acclaim at its premiere on the Warner Bros. back lot. After film school, Chris moved to Fresno where he met his creative collaborator, Travis Cluff. Travis’ unique marketing and business background combined with Chris’ film and technical experience, made the duo the perfect team and led them to form Tremendum Pictures in 2011. They started by working out of their apartment where they spent every waking hour creating content including film, Television, commercials and digital media. The pair independently co-wrote, co-directed and co-produced the micro-budget horror film, THE GALLOWS, which cost only $100,000. The film attracted low budget horror titan, Jason Blum of Blumhouse and Entertainment 360 as producers before being acquired by New Line Cinema/Warner Bros. - becoming New Line’s first acquisition in 8 years. THE GALLOWS was released in theaters worldwide on July 10th 2015 and grossed over $42million at the box-office. The sequel, THE GALLOWS ACT II, will be released by LIONSGATE in 2019. Chris is represented by Management 360, CAA and Ziffren Brittenham.

Travis Profile.jpg

After losing his job due to the recession and with his first kid on the way, Travis had the unfortunate luck of also falling victim to a Ponzi scheme. He was in debt and desperate for money to support his new family. Travis came across an article in 2008 about ABC’s obstacle course game show WIPEOUT. He saw that you can make over $50,000 if you win. Not only did Travis make it onto the show but he also won. This accomplishment helped him get back on track and also opened his eyes to the entertainment business and the idea that anything is possible. After meeting New York Film Academy student, Chris Lofing, the two developed a friendship and started their own production company, Tremendum Pictures, in 2011.
